God’s Plan of Salvation
I want to share with you the way to eternal life, God’s plan of salvation. It is a story about love.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
The gift of God’s son Jesus was necessary because Adam and Eve sinned, and death came into the world. God’s rescue plan was to bring the Savior, Jesus Christ, through the seed of His chosen nation, the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God raised up His people, Israel, to demonstrate His purpose and plan to the rest of the nations through His Laws and Commandments. He used Israel as a vessel to bring forth the Messiah Jesus as the plan to eternal salvation for all people. Even though Israel sinned like Adam and was cast out of the promise land, God was still faithful to His promise and preserved the tribe of Judah to bring forth Jesus.
God brought forth His Son Jesus as a baby born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life and was unjustly convicted to death. He laid down his life for us on the cross. In absolute victory over the devil, He rose from the dead on the third day and ascended to Heaven. Promising to never leave us or forsake us, He sent the Holy Spirit to us as our Helper.
